Our intense weekend plastering course has been designed to teach you the skills of general plastering in the building trade.

Wh0 is this course for?

This course is designed to introduce you to the plastering trade and teach you the required skills to complete a commercial or domestic job. Through this course you will learn how to board walls and ceiling using various methods, set beads, tape joints and plaster, along with the knowledge you will need to complete a great quality finished job.

Course content

-Introduction into what plastering is.

-Learn the tools and materials involved in plastering.
-How to mix the correct measurement of materials.
-A demonstration of how to cut and fix plasterboard with an area to have a go for yourselves.
-How to cut round plug sockets.
-A demonstration of how to plaster with an area to have a go at yourself.
-How to tape joints and set beads.
-How to repair damaged walls both in a stud frame and on a block wall.
-How to pva walls and over skim them.
-How to clean your tools

Outcome of this course

By the end of this plastering course you should have an understanding of what’s involved in plastering and boarding, with the ability to take on small projects and a good idea of if it’s a career in which you would like to follow.

This is a weekend course running 9 til 4:30 and costs £300.00 including all tools and materials, to secure a place you need to pay £100 deposit.
