-AGED 19+ and have lived in the uk / European Economic Area (EEA) for at least the previous 3 years.
-Be unemployed and in receipt of a benefit such as universal credit or JSA.
Suitable for :
Anybody wanting a career in the construction industry, to gain skills and perhaps to decide which trade is the right one to pursue a career in. Located at our purpose built, dedicated construction training academy in Stourbridge.
No previous knowledge or experience is required.
This qualification provides the ideal introduction to the construction industry and cover essential skills in bricklaying.

Level 1 City & Guilds Award in Construction Skills (Bricklaying) – IF TAKEN-
What is Covered:
Basic techniques in bricklaying
Basic techniques in carpentry
Basic techniques in electrics
Knowledge and support to achieve the CSCS card with a Level 1 Health and Safety in construction
Interview skills and CV writing
Work based/ scenario exercises
How will I be assed:
Practical and work based scenario exercises
City & Guilds Level 1 Certificate / Diploma in Construction
City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Construction
Living in Dudley, Stourbridge, Wolverhampton, Oldbury, Halesowen and Birmingham areas
Aged between 19 plus and have lived in the UK for the last three years
Be unemployed and in receipt of a benefit such as JSA or UC
Able to provide appropriate photographic ID such as passport or driving licence
